40 down - 3 to go...

That's right - 3 weeks from tomorrow until we get married!!
I'm a little bit excited (okay... a lot a bit excited)
I think these next 3 weeks will be some of the busiest of my life but I'm ready for it.
I knew Benson and I were meant for each other when we did this for our second date...
(I know we're pretty hardcore)
He is not only the smartest, "funnest" person I know, but he's also my best friend.
Besides - I think we're kinda cute too...

just a small town girl

Ever been to Greer?
Well you should go...
It's pretty
and the weather is nice
and small towns are fun
and you see cool things
and relaxing is great

The End

little miss home maker

In case you all didn't know - I am pretty much a Martha Stewart wannabe. So, when I had my shower a few weeks ago I was, needless to say, extatic about getting this baby...
(Big thank you to my new Mom and Aunts) Beautiful isn't she? And she's not just white... she's pearl white. I'm in love. I can't wait to start making food with this - I will invite you all over to eat some (otherwise I will get fat)
Then - my next surprise was from Benson. (not for my shower - just cause he's super cool) Now that's what I call an amazing machine. Isn't it purdy? It's a super old singer machine that was re-wired to have a foot pedal. I love it.

You hungry?

Need something sewn?

Let me know... I'm game

Making a House a Home

So finally here they are - pictures of our (well... almost our) house!!

It may not be the prettiest house in the neighborhood but it's ours...er...will be ours soon. Seriously, we're this close to having the keys and finally closing escrow. I have heard many nightmarish stories about getting loans approved and closing on houses, and our situation could be so much worse... but I am so over it and ready for the house to just be ours.

I mean really, we have carpet, paint, blinds and furniture picked out. We have all sorts of plans to fix the outside too. Take away all the ugly desert landscape, palm trees and peach paint and add grass, a huge willow tree, white picket fence and light yellow paint on the house - oh and a porch swing. I have been to Home Depot 10 times in the past month - each visit for no less than an hour and a half wandering and planning.

(We're a little excited if you couldn't tell)

p.s. wish us luck!
