This weekend Benson and I had a new adventure...
Whitewater Rafting
It got exciting before we even arrived at the river since on the way up it started to look like this...

{yes, that's snow - this was taken just before it actually started snowing again}
As I'm sure you can imagine we were a little nervous since all we took to wear was swim suits, board shorts, and a couple of hoodies.
Luckily, they took care of us with wetsuits, wool sweaters, rain coats, and booties.

{Looking good in our gear!}

It was FREEZING but stil fun and totally worth it.

We went 11 miles down the river through rapids up to level 4 {the highest they go is 5}
After this we are totally ready to hit some hardcore rapids in Colorado!!
It made us a little nervous at first to see that you sit on the SIDE of the raft to row rather than safely on the inside...but by the end we got really comfortable.
I even "rode the bull" on our last rapid where you sit on the nose of the raft and hold onto a rope for dear life.
It was awesome... we're pretty much pro's now.
Just as the rafting ended and we got on the bus to head back to our cars the sun came out and we got to see a little of this...

and one of these...

{the crazy part - the rainbow is from the same stretch of highway as the first picture with all the snow}

We'll post the "action shots" once we get them developed!

If you ever get a chance to go - we highly recommend it.
Especially if it's all paid for!
{thanks HP!}
