We had our offer accepted on a house!!

It is in Mesa on Val Vista & Southern.

It needs some fixin up but we're excited to make it exactly what we want!

REI Garage Sale = Love

♥ We went to our first REI members only garage sale on Saturday morning and let me tell you... AMAZING. (Side note for those who may not know what I am talking about: REI is an outdoor gear store - hiking, camping, biking, canoeing etc.) They have these garage sales every now and then to get rid of all items that have been returned to them... and they sell everything dirt cheap.

$300 backpacking pack for $70?

$100 camelback for $7?

$100 Northface trench coat for $14?

Yes they are all ours and more. Needless to say this will be a tradition from now on...

Something else cool that happened this weekend.... my mom met Shaq.

The girls in her ward were having a car wash to raise money for camp and he randomly stopped by and gave them $200!! Don't believe me? Look at this...

He is HUGE!!

I also found out today that I don't have to work next Monday - and I get paid for it. Woo hoo!

Us + 7

Benson and I went to the Zoo this weekend with, that's right, 7 kids. Some of his cousins go to church and school with my niece and nephews, so when Insight announced their spring picnic would be at the Phoenix Zoo we decided we would take them all with us. It was HOT but we all had a great time!
Face painting clowns, bbq, crafts, music, animals and lots of snow cones - I think they each had 3 because as Libey said "They're free!!"

Home Sweet Home?

Well, we did it - we made an offer on a house. And we really hope we get it! *cross your fingers!*

It's in Gilbert on Val Vista and Elliot in Spring Creek. It would be a great starter house. We're excited but not getting our hopes up...okay maybe I am a little bit, but not too much.

School is almost over and we have a busy summer ahead of us. I am so excited since I have not been on a real vacation in FOREVER. This summer we are going to Greer with my family, Mexico with Benson's family, we are getting married then going on our honeymoon to Seattle, Alaska and British Columbia and we will be going to Disneyland at some point (thanks to Todd for the tickets!)

Hopefully by the next post there will be good news about "our" house!
