Love Day With the Garner's

We celebrated on the 13th - it was the first Saturday we've had fully off together in months with nothing we had to do so it was pretty much awesome. (other than waking up at 6am to go to Cub Scout training)

I played with my food...

...we went to Schnepf Farms to see the peach blossoms...

...and walk around the farm, except it looked more like a carnival.

I took some pictures of Benson...

...and he took some of me. Only he kept making me laugh so they all look like this.

I was just sitting there smiling nicely and he just kept making me laugh...I wasn't being weird at all.

Oh look! There's the farm!

It was almost like we traveled back in time. I hadn't been there in years so it was really fun to see all the neat stuff they have!

Photobucket

Not sure why, but I fell in love with this bench. Am I weird?

Photobucket

I also fell in love with this Piano and wanted to take it home.

Photobucket

I got some roses - my favorite part was the babies breath. (I'm starting to think I AM weird)

We ate dinner at joes BBQ then went to blockbuster to rent a movie. We ended up at his parents picking movies instead - they have a much better selection.

Also, the men in our ward made cookies had cookies made for their wives and made us all Valentine's cards. It was cute. The cookies were YUMMY!

Wonderful Weekend!!

BLOGITTY BLIGITTY BLOOG

I have a confession.
I hate blogging.

It's true.

I'm not sure why I continue to do it.
I tell myself that one day when I have a more exciting job and a family I probably won't blog anymore...but that's not true, because I probably will.

I hate seeing my blog and it's 4 day old post and feeling like I have an obligation to update it - because really? I don't. No one REALLY cares if you don't update your blog ALL.THE.TIME.

Don't get me wrong, I too am guilty of thinking "why haven't they posted anything in like TWO days!" about my favorite bloggers... but really - wouldn't you rather they were out living their lives that are so wonderful to read about?

I sure do - because after the disappointment of not having something new to read wears off I am happy for them that they are having so much fun with their families and lives that they don't have the time to tell us all about it.

Anyway, those are my thoughts for today and just because I feel like being extra contradictory - I will introduce you to the new blog I created...

Cooking blog: Meet the world

As much as I hate blogging - I LOVE cooking and so does my family - we all have so many good recipes and are constantly calling each other for them so I figured what better way to keep them organized that is accessible to all? Eventually we'll turn it into an actual print book :)

The Magic of My Childhood

This is where I spent most of my childhood summers, eating no drip PB&J sandwiches and having picnics in the grass - It's just as magical as it looks.

Tips for Baking Cake

I like to bake.
A lot.
I wish I had time to do it more often.
What I like more than baking - is making what I bake look pretty - but that's another story.

This post is about the greatest tip I have learned when baking a cake - seriously, if you follow this one tip - you will be taking a HUGE step in the right direction toward making flawless, delicious, mouthwatering cake every time.

You ready for this? Grab your pencil and a paper......

Here it is.

Sarah's super secret cake baking tip:

Don't use salt instead of sugar.

Especially when someone is paying you to bake it for their loved one's birthday party.
I hope you took notes.
