A day at the farm

Fall is most definitely my favorite time of year. It's the season that Arizona changes from a hot and miserable desert to a dreamy, perfect weather state with fun activities abound. 

Last week some friends and I decided to take our kiddos out to Schnepf Farms to really get into the fall spirit and enjoy the nice weather. I hadn't been out there since I was in Jr. High and I was definitely impressed with all the fun activities they had. 

It was especially fun since there were a lot of firsts for Abby such as her first "roller coaster" ride, first time at a petting zoo, first time on a merry-go-round

and first time at a pumpkin patch.

The pumpkins were her favorite part...I've taught her well already.

 

 

 

A dirty sticky mess.

I have a feeling that this Abby girl of mine will bring many messy days to my life. She just loves getting into anything dirty, sticky, squishy or slimy. 

 

 

Shirts and Things

Abby has been in a very lovey and attached mode lately, not only to people (which I am loving) but to items as well. She has a favorite blankie, a favorite stuffed puppy, favorite sunglasses etc.

When we took a trip to visit her dad at work a week or so ago, one of his co-workers gave her a t-shirt from the company he is developing. She immediately grabbed it and hugged it as tight as she could. She snuggled it the entire visit and, though it was about 5 sizes too big, wore it to sleep in that night. No complaints from me though because a baby in a huge t-shirt is super cute.

her excitement about her shirt put her in a fun and excitable mood, which lead to a game of hide and seek with her dada. 

Then this happened and completely made my night...

I've got some serious love for these two.

Sometimes when you take a million pictures of your kid they start looking at you like this:

So you have to pull special tactics to get them to smile again such as bribery, tickling

and standing in the front yard until someone walks by with a dog (one of her current favorite animals, hence the shirt)

I said it before and I'll say it again... I can't believe this is happening already.
This little lady is the silliest and sweetest girl and I love her to the moon and back.

This is Halloween

I was inspired by the cooling weather a couple of weeks ago to get out our decorations for Halloween and Fall. This is definitely my favorite time of year and Halloween is in close competition with Christmas for my favorite holiday. This is the first Holiday Abby has been old enough to recognize the decorations and festivities. She has been going crazy with all the owls (I hear "hoo hoo" a hundred times a day). I can hardly wait to see her at Christmas time with all the twinkling lights.

However, of all our decorations this one is by far Abby's favorite....

These girlies cracked us up all weekend playing together and "holding" each other.

Baby Ben & A Birthday

We made it to our favorite weekend retreat to visit our newest little family member Ben. He is a sweet little man with a very sweet and loving big brother and two sweet and loving big sisters (though I think the brother is the most excited).

The bonus of the weekend is we got to be there for Mikah's third birthday party (and get every Dora song we could find on the internet stuck in our heads for the drive home)
